Two GEO Reentry Services staff members recently sat down with Boise, Idaho radio station 94.1 The Voice to introduce Idahoans to a new program from GEO Reentry Idaho: Connection and Intervention Stations. Now open at several locations statewide, these non-residential reentry centers provide transitional housing as well as in-person and technology-based classes to select participants released to community supervision by the Idaho Department of Correction.
Statewide Reentry Area Manager Evette Navedo spoke with Mark Renick, host of the “Victory Over Sin” radio show, about GEO Reentry’s new partnership with the Idaho DOC and the multi-phase evidence-based programming offered at CIS offices in Boise, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho Falls and Twin Falls. Renick also interviewed Idaho Transitional Housing Manager Kourtney Stafford, who discussed GEO Reentry’s efforts to standardize sober housing provider care and inform returning citizens about the CIS program.

With services available both virtually and in-person, GEO Reentry’s CIS programs provide participants with an individualized behavior change plan to address criminogenic risks and needs; access to community resources for employment, education and housing; and case management and counseling. Participants also attend classes designed to help them confront destructive belief systems and practice prosocial decision-making.
